May Her Memory Be For a Blessing, Episode 460
In this episode of Turning Towards Life, we open into a conversation about living and dying, the memory of those who matter to us, presence, and love. Speaking from the freshness of recent losses, we explore how those we love can remain vividly alive in us, and how this can become a way of carrying them forward as a blessing.
Hosted as always by Lizzie Winn and Justin Wise of Thirdspace.
Our source for this week:
To be.
Wild in our arriving,
We are born flesh of the forest.
Held by the red of the earth,
Carried by the bluest stream.
Each day is the death of the last,
Each morning a chance to be again.
To be.
To truly be.
To press our hearts to the dirt,
To hold our children fiercely.
To laugh from the depths of our bellies until tears press at our seams.
To look to the sky and know we will be guided by the wings of the wise hawk…
To let our loved ones die.
To hold them close as they die.
Our love journeys with them,
So they may be, again.
